Thankyou you explain things well..
Hi mate What can I use to seal the exposed chipboard in the laminate Paranoid about it getting damp
Hi mate you can use a silicon or a wether proof ova glue 🍻
How do you do a mason mitre in an out of square room?
Well that was incredibly bloody useful, nice surprise. 🥰
Very nice work as always Lewis. 👏🏼
Pair. Just doing this for my understairs cupboard doors. Very useful video thank you.
Apples, good video
That’s a great square you have what make is it please
Again nice job. I use a wallpaper seem roller to make sure edging is all on. Its a 2" rubber wheel does a good job. Saves your hand.
Another nice job mate.
Hate ripping out kitchens, greasy old extractor fans, 10 years worth of dust on top of the cabinets. The junk that's fallen behind units
Could you share where you purchased the gate? Thanks in advance.
Actually just seen you purchased from B&Q on another comment. Thx
Another nice job mate
Nice job
Can an oscillating multitool be used instead of a router to cut out the area for the hinge?
How did u get the 18v dewalt to trench. I modified mine with a tap and die set and a small 6mm bolt
Did that work ? I thought about that on mine. I taped a small block of wood on mine
I know that feeling.
At least you didn’t sweep it under the carpet, well done
You missed a bit 😂😅
I missed lots 😂
@@LTWCarpentry but yet at a customers house, you never miss a bit! 🤣
Love the safety boot flip flops 😂😂😂
Nice job as usual 👏
Cheers Jim 🍻
Good video, given me some good ideas
Cheers buddy, that’s awesome ! Let me know how you get on ! 🍻
Jingle bells
Cheers Mike 🍻
Banana, nice job again mate.
Cheers again Mike 🍻
What’s the Hoover you are using and how would you rate it please ?
It’s only a cheap one mate, it’s a einhell, not bad but no match for my festool
@@LTWCarpentry good to hear that someone with a Festool rates it as not bad though. As seeing as festool is the other end of the cordless market price wise. For you to say it’s ok an to have one it must be ok for the general DIY person thank you 👍🏻
@@simonhinson9367 yeah mate I’m not a tool snob, I spend money where I need to. Cheap stuff has its place mate. For a diyer it’s good
@@LTWCarpentry that’s my point you have both we all know festool are very good but you can say how good the Einhell is compared to the festool having both. And doing what you do for a living you know most people have a cheap tool for stuff and like you said spend then money on other tools when needed. But for the general DIY person who isn’t using them every day we would go for the einhell over the festool.
Just like that! 🎉
Boom ! Richard is back ! 🍻
Is that MDF? That stuff chips all the time, wouldnt it be better to use like, an actual butcher block or something?
No it’s not mdf it’s a chip board core and a laminate on the face, very hard wearing actually, the butcher block board is a great worktop but requires upkeep, it’s not for everyone. These tops a low maintenance just got to keep the joints dry really and the rest will look after itself
Nice one!
Cheers Jason 🍻
@@LTWCarpentry do you always use silicone on the joints?
A mitre cut would look a lot better on the corner. Woth the cost of extra bench top.
I don’t personally agree I think a mitre on a square edge worktop dosent look right, I’m afraid I don’t understand why you would need to buy and extra worktop if you was to mitre it
Guess he means because as a mitre both pieces are longer to reach the corner. I agree square cuts look better with square edge.
Hi, how thick are the shelves in total ?
They where 60mm
Smashing job 🪚
Cheers Matt 🍻
@@LTWCarpentry I’m a chippie myself, love watching your videos 💪🏽
Racking lovely job 👍🏻
Cheers Barrie 🍻
good video m8 ,i use this every time ,a heat gun is useful to
Cheers Pete, yes I agree, just got to be careful not to melt it 😂
@@LTWCarpentry yes 100% 😂 its easy with 2 people . and square edge are the way to go now, 👍
Chap from B'ham put a video of his van racking on here a while back. A few days later all his tools were gone.
Yes I know mate, unfortunate isn’t it. Bastard are everywhere aren’t they
Honestly. 😡 It should be a capital offence stealing a tradesman’s tools.
Surely 7mm to allow for a 2mm gap... of course, ive only seen this short so possibly talking out of turn
Yes you are right Matt, if you watch the full video I explain this 🍻
@LTWCarpentry I presumed you would looking at how you work.😁
I’m not fooled. You get these rubber squares from the magic shop.
lol, you rumbled me Chris 😂
How the crap would that be confusing to anyone on how you get the square out, were these commenters educated or just high 😂
lol, I get a lot of questions about it mate
the carpenter is able to make actually useful structures out of wood? inconceivable!
That's it mate, square up!! good job:))
Cheers Robert, works a treat 🍻

Great video thanks.
Is that real wood?
roast dinner
Roast dinner. Love the video and tips, nice to see one that explains as they go along instead of a rushed video with not much information. I’m about to hang my first door and have 6 to do 😬 wish me luck 😅
My dad was a carpenter for 50 years until he passed away last year, unfortunately at the time of leaving school I never followed in his foot steps, but isince his passing I have really wanted to take it up so I have finally got on to a level 2 carpentry course starting in September. Videos like these are really great inspiration for it too
I’ve literally just finished my level 2 tonight, best thing I’ve ever done, good luck mate
what thickness was the mdf
Pair. Thats another great tutorial, nicely explained. 👏👍
Cheers buddy 🍻
